Learn about the foreclosure process, the laws that govern it, including the new state law requiring mandatory conferences for certain types of mortgages. The session will review some of the statutory and common law defenses and counterclaims that may be raised, including the issue of standing in the context of securitization. Relationship of litigation and settlement, including both new programs and traditional loss mitigation will be discussed.
