******************************************************
A joint project of the Eviction Defense Collaborative (EDC) and the San Francisco Superior Court, VLSP's Courthouse Landlord/Tenant Project provides pro bono limited scope representation for individuals and families facing eviction.  Volunteer attorneys are needed to represent pro per litigants during their mandatory unlawful detainer settlement conferences.  This project is a great way to sharpen negotiation and litigation skills.  A staff attorney is on-site the day of settlement conference to provide guidance or advice to volunteers.  Volunteers are also covered under VLSP's malpractice insurance policy.  New and experienced attorneys in all areas of law are welcome to volunteer.

A pro bono commitment of 4 settlement conferences within the next 6 months of training is required to attend.
