COVENANT HOUSE LEGAL CLINIC - Volunteer attorneys are needed immediately to staff Public Counsel's legal clinic at Covenant House, located at 1325 N. Western Ave., Hollywood CA. The commitment from each attorney would be one night a month, from 7 p.m. To 9 p.m., to conduct intake, referrals, and possible minor follow-up for homeless and at-risk youth who frequent this important outreach center. Established in 1988, Covenant House California has opened its doors to more than 145,000 homeless youth who suffer from the trauma of trying to survive on the streets. Covenant House California's mission in its Hollywood program is to protect and safeguard all children of the street with absolute respect and unconditional love. This is achieved through comprehensive street outreach services and residential programs, including: crisis care, transitional living, job training, health care services, alcohol and drug counseling services, and legal services. Training will be provided by Public Counsel.
