Many large assisted living facilities include locked-door units designed to keep the residents from leaving. We will assess the laws governing locked-door placements for elderly or disabled residents and discuss the application of these laws to the current realities of locked-door units. The goal of this webinar is to enhance the advice given to family members who are considering placing a loved one in a locked-door unit as well as to strengthen the advocacy when representing a resident of such a unit.
