This webinar will provide an overview of common barriers that low-income immigrant families face in obtaining health care and other public benefits as well as strategies to overcome these barriers. Rules regarding public charge, issues for sponsored immigrants, and concerns regarding reporting and confidentiality will be reviewed. An update of state and federal policy issues that may have an impact on low-income immigrants' access to health care will also be provided.

APALC is a State Bar certified provider of MCLE credits and this training has been approved for 1.5 hours of credit.
