Thirty-six McGeorge law students will staff eight Landlord-Tenant Clinics at Legal Services of Northern California during National Pro Bono Week. The clinics provide legal assistance at no cost to low-income tenants in the Sacramento area. McGeorge students assist staff attorneys address problems tenants may have regarding issues such as security deposits, habitability, rent disputes, and the threat of eviction. This is a unique opportunity for students to gain legal experience while helping real clients in serious need.
