Join this site if you are a volunteer attorney, legal services advocate, law student or faculty advising low income and disadvantaged clients, there are resources here to help you.
To join please click on join now and complete the form.
Please add news or calendar items for approval once you become a member. We would really like people to add Library items.
The National Pro Bono Resource Centre is providing the service of moderator for the site at this stage and will approve any application received from a genuine pro bono coordinator, partner or lawyerwhich will then give you access to all areas of the site. You will be able to submit calendar, news or library items, establish or participate in discussion groups or peruse opportunities that are posted to provide legal assistance. You will also be able to access contact details of other members.
The National Pro Bono Resource Centre is an Australian independent, non profit organisation that encourages pro bono legal services, supports lawyers and law firms to make it easier for them to provide high quality pro bono legal services and works with the profession and the community sector to match services with the clients and groups most in need of assistance.
Please ignore the content on Australia Home as we are in the process of reviewing the operation of that part of the site.
This site was started on 18 May 2004 and is being run as a trial to see whether it provides a useful tool for the Australian pro bono legal community (and what other functionality might be added to it)
Feedback is encouraged and should be sent to info@nationalprobono.org.au
