Monday, April 11, 2011

A recording of a webinar presented on March 28, 2011 on current issues in social group-based asylum claims is now available in the probono.net/Asylum resource library.  Presented by Emily Good, Refugee and Immigrant Program Director of The Advocates for Human Rights and Professor Steve Meili from the University of Minnesota School of Law, the webinar covers recent developments in asylum law in the area of social group-based claims, such as claims based on domestic violence or membership in a gang. The webinar also explores the issue of managing client expectations when working on novel claims or claims arising from new case law.
