Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles

Description: The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) is the frontline law firm for poor and low-income individuals in Los Angeles County.

LAFLA provides a comprehensive range of free legal services at six offices located in Los Angeles, Santa Monica and Long Beach. LAFLA also has four Self Help Legal Access Centers located in the downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Inglewood and Long Beach Courthouses. LAFLA is committed to promoting access to justice; strengthen communities, fighting discrimination, and effective systemic change through representation, advocacy and community education.

LAFLA offers a variety of pro bono opportunities to meet the needs of volunteer attorneys. We make every effort to match attorneys with appropriate clients and issues of interest to law firms. LAFLA has numerous projects that are focused on addressing the unmet legal needs of clients. We also address policy/advocacy issues, litigation and the transactional law process, as well as the development of signature projects for law firms.
