Bronx AIDS Services (BAS) is an AIDS service organization that helps more than 25,000 Bronx residents each year with an array of free services designed to meet the needs of this ethnically and culturally diverse community. The BAS Legal Advocacy Program (LAP) is the first Bronx-based legal services program advocating on behalf of Bronx residents living with HIV/AIDS. BAS trains volunteers on how to advocate on clients behalf concerning legal issues like housing, benefits, future care and domestic violence.
